Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using StashSync.app. By accessing or using StashSync.app at stashsync.app or web.stashsync.app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old if you are in the EU/UK) to use StashSync.app. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Account Registration
To access most features of StashSync.app, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your account credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
Account authentication is managed by Clerk. By creating an account, you also agree to Clerk's Terms of Service.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
3.1 Plans
StashSync.app offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan. The Pro plan is available on weekly ($1.99/wk), monthly ($5.99/mo), and yearly ($47.88/yr) billing cycles. Plan features and pricing are described on the Pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
3.2 Billing
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for your selected billing cycle. You also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.
3.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
3.4 Plan Changes
We reserve the right to change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload, store, or share content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harmful, or violates the rights of others
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful software
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the Service in a way that disrupts its operation
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all notes, bookmarks, files, and other content ("Content") you create or upload to StashSync.app. We do not claim any ownership over your Content.
5.2 License to StashSync.app
By using the Service, you grant StashSync.app a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your Content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you. We do not use your Content for any other purpose.
5.3 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to upload and share it. StashSync.app is not responsible for Content created or shared by users.
5.4 File Sharing
When you generate a public share link for a file, that file becomes publicly accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for the content you share publicly. StashSync.app reserves the right to remove publicly shared content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
6. Storage Limits
Pro subscribers receive 10 GB of cloud storage with a maximum file upload size of 100 MB per file. The free plan does not include file uploads. We reserve the right to adjust storage limits with reasonable notice.
If you exceed your storage limit, you may not be able to upload new files until you free up space or upgrade your plan.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, software, logos, and trademarks, is owned by StashSync.app and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use StashSync.app's intellectual property other than as needed to use the Service as described here.
8. Third-Party Services
StashSync.app integrates with third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and infrastructure), Sentry (error monitoring), Google Analytics (website analytics), and Lemon Squeezy (payments). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of these third-party providers where applicable.
We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StashSync.app and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you are on the free plan.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StashSync.app and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Account deletion can be initiated from your account settings.
12.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, or at any time for any reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data within 30 days of account termination, except as required by law.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5.3, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13) will survive the termination of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
