Why This Exists
Honestly? I just need it to pay for itself.
I'm a developer. I built StashSync for myself — tired of paying for tools that scattered my stuff across five apps and locked it in formats I couldn't control. So I spent my nights and weekends building something better. Or at least, better for me.
There's no funding, no team, no enterprise plan subsidising the free users. It's just me and a monthly server bill. Every subscription goes directly toward keeping the app running, fixing bugs faster, and building whatever's next on my list. If it stops making sense financially, it stops existing. That's just the reality of a one-person project.

Is StashSync.app really free to start?

What does "offline-first" mean?
Everything you save is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. You can read, write, and organize your workspace with no internet connection. When you come back online, StashSync.app automatically syncs changes across your devices.
Which items can I share publicly?
Notes, bookmarks, files, and whole Collections all support public share links. Each one gets its own toggle, an optional expiry (24h, 7 days, 30 days, or never), and a one-click revoke. Nothing is public unless you explicitly enable it.
What is the Public Profile?
An optional public home page at username.stashsync.app (or a /profile/[username] fallback). It lists the notes, bookmarks, files, and Collections you choose to feature. The profile is off by default — you turn it on, pick which items appear, customize the theme, and even opt out of search engine indexing.
How do Collections work?
Collections (formerly Stashes) are flexible folders that can hold notes, bookmarks, and files in one place. You can share a whole Collection with one public link, and toggle each member item on or off without un-sharing the rest.
How much storage do I get?
The free plan includes file uploads up to 5 MB per file. Pro users get 10 GB of cloud storage and can upload files up to 100 MB each.
Can I use StashSync.app on multiple devices?
Yes. Free and Pro users can access their workspace on multiple devices.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Anytime — no questions asked. You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period. Billing is handled securely through Lemon Squeezy.
What billing periods are available?
Weekly ($1.99/wk), Monthly ($5.99/mo), or Yearly ($47.88/yr — that's $3.99/mo, saving 33% vs monthly).
Is my data safe?
Your data is stored locally on your device and synced to Cloudflare's global edge network. We don't sell or share your data. You can export your notes as Markdown at any time.
What happens if I accidentally delete something?
Deleted items move to Trash. You can restore anything from Trash at any time — no data loss from accidental deletes.
